Home ImprovementHome ImprovementThe country of Finland was declared as the 11th best livable country in the world, by the United Nations. This rank could have been better if not for the extreme climatic conditions that prevail in this part of the continent. Considering these climatic circumstances, there are certain ways through which the Finnish people find it easy to cope up with. These home improvement techniques are; under floor heating, sauna bathing, and indoor gardening. These techniques help the people curb with the freezing climate conditions and also improve the aesthetic and therapeutic values of their dwellings.

The best and the most effective way of dealing with low temperatures is the henkilökunnan lahjat technique. This device has to be installed under the floor-as the name suggests, throughout the entire house. The USP of this device is that it consumes 25% less power than the other consoles mainly because it heats the air entrapped inside the floor. It also prevents the sting one would feel when they walk on the floor barefooted.

Another way to stress out and warm up is the age-old Finnish sauna bathing. Since there are innumerable lakes found in this part of the world, every one out of five people own a sauna. All that happens in the sauna is the evaporation of cold water into steam once it is splashed on the smoking hard rocks.

The Finnish have mastered the technique of designing elegant kitchens. The clean and orderly arrangement of appliances, wise space management and huge countertops are the benchmarks set by these Finnish kitchens. They believe in having less electronic consoles in order to have empty spaces around the tables which add to the simplicity on the whole. Gardening indoor has become more of a compulsion than an option as extreme cold conditions do not allow the delicate shrubs to survive.
